Sonography is a machine which uses high frequency of sound waves in order to create image of inner organs of human body, most people know it as ultrasound scan. You need to enter to a diagnostic medical sonography schools to be a sonographer. This kind of programs usually takes from one year to four years program depending on what award you choose. Lately sonography has become very important in the world o health care. Ultrasound scan as many people know it can be used for examining people body such as abdomen, breast, female reproductive system, heart, prostate and blood vessels. The latest use of sonography is to detect and treat heart disease, heart attack and vascular disease which can lead to a stroke.

Diagnostic medical sonography has become one important key member of the health care system. Before becoming a professional sonographer you must enter course and clinical program training. Therefore a person who graduates from a sonographer school can apply their study directly into the field.
